Novi is a promising, young, purebred Friesian son of the legendary Friesian Sport Horse sire, Nero. Novi is currently just shy of 16 hands hands and we expect that he may grow another inch, or so by age 7. Just like his legendary father, he has a wonderful temperament and LOTS of movement! .

Novi has sired a number of offspring now (see offspring links below)and we are very impressed with his get so far. In the Fall of 2006 and 2007, four of his yearling and weanling foals went to the Friesian Sport Horse and Friesian Blood Horse inspections and all four scored well, with high marks on movement. One of Novi's Thoroughbred Cross sons, Novi's Sweet Sylvan, won the title of FBHR Junior Site Champion! Out of 15 youngsters, he scored the highest. He had the second highest score overall – of all the age divisions in the inspection. All of Novi's inspected offspring have earned a minimum of 2nd premium and some have earned High Merit awards (scores of 7.7 and above).

Because this bloodline grows slowly, we decided to not start Novi in training real young. He has been lightly started driving and under saddle and is still fairly green. We plan to continue his training and in the future, we hope to have him winning in the Dressage ring.

Novi holds papers with the Friesian Heritage Horse & Sporthorse International (HH) and the Friesian Sport Horse Registry (FSHR).

All of Novi's offspring are eligible for registration with the Friesian Heritage Horse & Sporthorse International (HH), the Friesian Sport Horse Registry (FSHR) and the Friesian Blood Horse Registry (FBHR), among many others.

Novi will be at the Midwest Horse Fair (April 18-20, 2008)and the Minnesota Horse Expo (April 25-27, 2008), performing with the Black Pearls Friesian Dance Troop.

Novi will be standing at our farm in Ogilvie, MN for the 2008 season & breeding via live cover. Transported semen could be made available by special request & arrangement.

Breeding fee: $650 LFG - Discounts are available for exceptionally high quality mares or an incentive (cash back) is available for people who commit to having the offspring inspected by 3 years old.
